Though the journey of Taekwondo started less than a decade ago, under acting programs and untiring efforts of the federation, it has become an important Sports Federation among other who attained national and international reputation and established itself as a vital sports event.
It was Dr. Shri Biren Shikder, Hon’ble State Minister for Youth & Sports, Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh and the Chairman of National Sports Council and President of Bangladesh Olympic Association, who has always inspired us for the betterment of Taekwondo and made us obliged. His inspiration has always motivated us to established Taekwondo as a sport. We cordially recall the presence of guests in various tournaments, especially Honorable ministers and other special guests who encouraged us in many different occasions. Especially cooperation from all officers and employees of National Sports Council (NSC), Bangladesh Olympic Association (BOA) and Ministry of Youth & Sports was incredible.
Untiring efforts by the family of the Taekwondo Federation enabled this game to achieve a strong platform as the time ticked by. Especially in the last few years, it was a matter of excitement and success for the Taekwondo Federation as well as its players, trainers, organizers, organizations and sponsors which made us hopeful.
It is expected that in near future the advancement of Taekwondo will be more smooth and organized. By the cooperation of all, especially of the government and non-government sponsors, Taekwondo will be able to keep special attraction and exciting tracks of Martial Arts in our country. This souvenir will be able to frame our past sweet memories for the coming future. Let the game start its new journey with this belief.
